Inside Time Matters 9: Introduction

Over the next several weeks I will take an in-depth look at Time Matters 9. We’ll dive into the new features and explore ways to utilize them to the fullest potential. I’ll keep the conversation unique, interesting and relevant to the Practice Management Community with personal insight and knowledge of Time Matters and the product development team.

Time Matters 9 is the first release to reflect some influences of the new Time Matters Product Management Team in Cary NC (home to Time Matters). Most members of this team are generally new to the Case Management Software market. Knowing this, you could expect their influences to be concentrated on the user experience. Hence, much attention was given to “look and feel”, usability and first impressions. For example, during the development stage of Yukon (our internal pre-release name for TM9) we coined the mantra “get out of the way of the operating system” and let the underlying OS "look and feel"come through. Easier said than done but provided for an overall face lift throughout the program.

The first segment in this blog series will cover these user interface and usability enhancements. I will focus on exploring several ways to optimize these improvements for your existing customer base while at the same time, and possibly most importantly, improving the learning and productivity experience of your new clients.
