What an exciting announcement (at the Conumer Electronics show) from Palm today. Just when you thought the iPhone and BlackBerry craze had overtaken the once market leader in SmartPhone technology.

Palm has announced the Palm Pre, based on a new operating system they're calling WebOS. It reminds me of the Treo (qwerty) meets the iPhone (touch) meets Windows Mobile (threaded OS). Check out the shots on the Sprint announcement page listed below.

This is a major product announcement and in my opinion may put Palm back in front in terms of technology. We'll have to see what it "feels" like when it hit's the street, I'm excited about this!
